Obituary of Carol A. Herrington

Carol A. Herrington of 8004 Stewart Hill Road, passed away on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 in the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born Feb. 16, 1950 in Olean and was a daughter of Edward Daniel and Lillian Dawn Outman Finch. On June 24, 1966 in the Church of the Nazarene in Olean she married her loving husband of 47 years Burton A. Herrington, who pre-deceased her on March 2, 2014.
Carol worked for a number of years at the Friendship Foundry before going to work at the Cuba Memorial Hospital in the cafeteria. She then work in the Medical Records department at the Olean Medical Group for the Smart Corporation while also working part time in the jewelry department at Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2004.
Carol enjoyed doing the family genealogy, working on the sense beau, worked for the board of elections in West Clarksville and also the Fire Commission. She as a ember of the St. Stephen's Ladies Aux and the Mother of the Twins Club.
Carol is survived by five children, Michael (Sherri) Herrington of Schuyler, VA, Mark (Carly) Herrington of Bolivar, Matthew (Bobbie Jo) Herrington of Pine City, Michelle (timothy) Mascho of West Clarksville and Marsha (Jeffrey) Cwiklinski of Friendship; twenty grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Jack Finch of Hinsdale; her loving dog Minnie; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband and a brother Donald Finch.
Friends will be received tonight, Monday Nov. 13, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home #646 E. State Street, Olean, where Funeral and Committal Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at 11:00 am. The Rev. David Cook, Pastor of the Obi Community Church will officiate. Burial will be next to her husband in the West Clarksville Cemetery.
