Obituary of Romayne E. Greene

Olean- Romayne E. Greene “Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother” Romayne E. Greene formerly of Brookside Community and The Field of Dreams passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the Pines of Olean. Romayne was born on November 30, 1932 in Allegany and was the daughter of Charles and Mary Satterlee Eaton. Romayne worked for the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home/ The Pines on West State Street in 1972 in the dining hall for 8 years then in the dining hall at St. Bonaventure University. She was part of the Foster Grandparent Program for the Olean City School District for 25 years. Romayne was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Romayne is survived by; her daughter, Pamela A. (Daniel) Gore of Allegany; 2 granddaughters, Heather (Andrew) MacGregor of Kennesaw, GA and Danielle (Geoff) Fesko of Rochester; 4 great grandchildren, Maximus, Lola, Aiden and Nora; a sister in law, Mary Lee Eaton of Olean and several nieces and nephews. Romayne was predeceased by; her son, Terrence P. Green in 2022; 2 brothers, Basil Eaton in 1966 and Paul Eaton in 1987; and 2 sisters, Patricia Gardiner in 1994 and Marjorie R. Fowler in 1998. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
