Obituary of Albert P. Hyde Jr.

Belmont- Albert Hyde, Jr. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Albert Hyde, Jr. of Belmont, NY. Albert left us at the age of 88 on January 18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a brief illness. Al was loved and adored by everyone who knew him. He brightened our days with his happy spirit, his ready, bright smile and he was often seen wearing one of the many handsome cowboy hats in his collection. Some of Al’s happiest moments were spent listening to music and gliding his beautiful partner, Tootsie around the dance floor. Al is survived by his partner, Bernadine Green of Andover, NY; his daughter, Kim Kline (Hyde) and son-in law, Mark of Portland, OR; his daughter Hollie Riehle (Hyde) of Allegany, NY; his son, Albert Hyde, III and partner Kathii Bowen of Downingtown, PA. He was predeceased in death by his son, Todd Hyde of Friendship, NY. Al was loved by many beautiful grandchildren as well-Tricia Barton (Kline), Jody Buna (Kline), Christopher Kline, Troy Riehle, Andrea Collins (Riehle), Tiffany Benscoter (Hyde) and Albert Hyde, IV; and Kasey Hyde as well as several great grandchildren. A memorial service honoring Albert’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
