I recently drove through Ceres and wondered if Erik still lived in that trailer. I regret not stopping. Erik and I connected back in the 90's. He had such a genuine free spirit. We had many conversations and shared hurts and sorrows together. Healthy relationships were hard for Erik and no doubt his mental health and addictions made that difficult. But one thing I am sure of, when I get to sit at the banquet table in heaven, Erik will be seated right up front next to Jesus. The first shall be last and the last shall be first. To his children and those who loved him dearly, I send my heartfelt condolences for your loss. He is now in the presence of Jesus, no more pain, no more sorrows, and every tear is wiped away. When Jesus comes again and establishes a new heaven and a new earth, I wonder what kind of motorcycle he will be riding. If and when you have a memorial, I would like to be notified.
