Buffalo- Harold J. “Jimmy” Green Jr. “Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather”
Harold J. “Jimmy” Green Jr. 50, of West Seneca passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at home following a brief illness.
Harold was born on April 10, 1972, in Olean and was the son of Harold Sr. and Debra Green. On July 2, 2002 he married his loving wife, Edith A. Davis who survives.
Jimmy was most passionate in the arts. If you didn’t find him staring at the easel, you would find him playing music. Music was his initial passion. Throughout his life, you would find him playing, singing, or listening to music. The Djembe (African drum) was one of his first instruments of passion. Jimmy and his family would sit in the family band and Jimmy would play the Djembe or the guitar with his father. He shared that passion with his granddaughter, Laina and taught her drumbeats at a very young age. He was the reason for her passion for music. As Jimmy got older, his art shifted. He found his one true passion in life: oil painting. Taking inspiration from Bill Alexander, his life experiences, and his genuine soul-based creativity. Jimmy soon grew to be a phenomenal and outstanding painter. The landscapes, scenes, passion, and love he brought to life in his paintings were that of no other. Jimmy was the true and absolute embodiment of an artist in every way.
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife Edie, his two daughters, Roseanne, Brooke M. (Brooke L. Jackson), his son, James, grandchildren; Kaia, Laina, Sophia, Chloe, and his siblings, Mae Benjamin, Bart (Deborah Green), and Brett (Tammy Green) along with his niece and nephews.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents.
