Olean- Steven W. Babcock
Steve W. Babcock of 4th Ave passed away on Wednesday November 9, 2022 at home following an illness.
Steve was born on June 13, 1951, in Salamanca and was the was the son of Walter and Helen Ahrens Babcock.
Steve graduated from Olean High School in 1969. He worked in local restaurants primarily as a line cook for a number of years before becoming disabled. Steve enjoyed being outdoors and loved his cat “Waffles”. Steven was a member of Foundation for Change for many years.
Steve is survived by his sister, Paula A. (Daniel) Mohr of Allegany and his aunt, Rita Wymer and her family of Salamanca.
Steve was predeceased by his parents.
A service will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cattaraugus County SPCA 2944 Route 16 Olean, NY 14760.
