Portville- Mary L. “Manya” Kula Hill
Mary L. Hill of 90 S. Main Street Apt 11, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the Pines of Olean.
Mary was born on August 15, 1928, in Olean and was the daughter of Anthony and Mary L. Kuwick Kula. On January 29, 1949, in the Transfiguration Church in Olean, she married the love of her life Roswell G. Hill who predeceased her on May 24, 2018.
Mary was a class of 1945 graduate of Olean High School. She was a Secretary at the Olean Tile Federal Credit Union for 25 years. Mary loved the Lord. She was a past member of the St. Stephens Church where she was a vocalist. Mary was an artist and a writer.
Mary loved quilting and was a member of the Quilting Club at the Portville Library. She enjoyed working in her garden tending to her flowers, feeding birds all year long and watching the seasons change. But most of all she loved her family especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by; 4 children, Annette M. Seybert, Grant R. (Jenny) Hill, Lori (Glenn) Guarino and Melissa (Todd) Husted; many grand and great grandchildren; and her sister, Teressa McCloud.
Along with her husband, Roswell, Mary was predeceased by her parents, 9 siblings and a daughter, Christine Rubick.
Mary’s favorite bible verse; Psalm 51:7; Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
