Obituary of Rosemary Harrison

Allegany- Rosemary Harrison “Loving Mother and Grandmother” Rosemary Harrison, 98, passed away on September 18, 2022, at the Absolut of Allegany. Rosemary was born on March 9, 1924, in Minocqua, Wisconsin and was the daughter of John Weston and Lillie Bell Hansel. On November 11, 1945 she married Earl A. Harrison who predeceased her on November 17, 1998. Rosemary was a class of 1942 graduate of Olean High School. She attended business school after graduation. Rosemary worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper for Dr. Durkin for about 30 years starting in 1961. She was very active at the Allegany Free Methodist Church now Creekside Chapel for over 50 years where she taught Sunday School and volunteered with their youth group in many capacities. Rosemary enjoyed gardening, needle working such as crocheting and quilting. She was also very interested in politics and charity. Rosemary is survived by her two daughters, Ester B. Case of Cochise, AZ, Rhoda A. (Tom) Bullock of Allegany, five grandsons, Sean (Lori) Jennings, Michael (Michelle) Jennings, Tobin (Andrea) Jennings, Christopher “Skip” Stiles, Aaron (Connie) Hakes, 11 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. Rosemary was predeceased by her husband Earl, a sister, a brother, and a grandson, Stephen Stiles. Friends will be received at the Creekside Chapel, 2523 5 Mile Rd, Allegany on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Adam Stein, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
