Olean- Allena M. Cooper “Loving Companion, Mother & Sister” Allena M. Cooper of 109 S. 12th Street passed away on Sunday July 24, 2022, following an illness. Allena was born on July 20, 1963, in Los Angeles and was the daughter of Ralph D. Gibbs Jr. and Jeanita M. Guillory. Allena attended St Pius X High School where she played the clarinet for her High School’s band. Afterwards she worked at Henry Clay Jr. High School for about 4 years as a Teacher’s Aid in the mid-80s. Allena moved to Olean around 2014. Allena enjoyed cats, breeding dogs, fishing, listening to music, playing guitar, and online gaming. Allena was a member of the Crosstown Alliance Church in Olean. Allena is survived by her loving companions Rebecca M. Oakley and John E. Stanton of Olean, one daughter Janayé Cooper of Los Angeles, two stepchildren, Clayton Ashley and Caleb Ashley, two brothers, Ralph D. (Rachel) Gibbs of Los Angeles and Nicholas R. (Taye) Gibbs of Compton, CA, and one sister, Arlene M. (Corey) Gibbs of Dominguez Hills, CA. Allena was predeceased by her father, Ralph Gibbs Jr. in March of 1996. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday August 7, 2022, at 6:00pm at Gargoyle Park in Olean. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E.
