To Phil and the Johnston Family
We wish we could be there with all of you today to bid Mary Ann farewell. She touched our lives and she shared her love freely. We treasure the time we spent with all of you and especially being included in holiday celebrations! John enjoyed helping Mary Ann with cooking and going out to many meals with Mary Ann and Phil over the years and enjoying the rare opportunity to beat them to picking up the check. The first two pictures are from our visit last summer, enjoying a meal with Mary Ann and Phil at her favorite restaurant, Il Pizzico. the third photo is from Christmas 2015.
We will cherish all of our memories of Mary Ann.

It Is a Very Inconvenient Time For Me To Go
It is a very inconvenient time for me to go,
For suddenly it seems there is so much I need to do,
But, alas, at this moment, time does not allow me enough of the small moments of time necessary.
I need to wrap my arms around you all in a final hug so filled with the love I feel for you.
Even though we are such a large family,
I know my love for you is so immense that my arms would encircle you all
in one final hug to last all eternity.
There is also the need to take each one of you separately
And gently kiss your forehead, assuring you that even though I’m not there,
I will forever be with you;
In every smile,
Every moment of laughter,
Each time a memory is shed in a tear,
In that quiet eternally fleeting moment of time that exists between the end of night
And the start of the day.
That’s where you’ll find me.
And to my dearest love; the always shining light in my life:
this inconvenience now requires I must leave you.
I know I leave a hole in the depth of your heart,
but please know leaving you leaves a hole in my soul.
Knowing you loved me will keep me content
Until you once again knock on my door.
Yes, it is a very inconvenient time for me to go.
