Olean- Diane E. Hasard “Loving Wife, Daughter, and devoted Christian Lady”
Diane E. Hasard of the 301 W. Henley Brookside Apts, most recently of the Pines and formerly of Hinsdale passed away on May 1, 2022, at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.
Diane was born on December 24, 1949, in Albany and was the daughter of E. Ray and Roxane Miles Spink. On July 7, 1973, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Olean she married her loving husband of almost 50 years, William L. Hasard who survives.
Diane graduated from Portville Central School in 1968, was a 1969 graduate of OBI and a 1993 graduate of Jamestown Community College with an associate degree in human services. She worked in various secretarial positions in the Olean area. Diane was a 34-year member of the United Pentecostal Church of Olean where she taught Sunday School, worked in the office and was a member of the sign language choir. Diane loved reading, sewing, planning + going on family camping trips, and especially spending time with her husband.
Diane was a kind and pleasant woman always willing to help others. Even as a youngster she would help her parents with her siblings. Her family will miss her tremendously for her loving and caring ways.
In addition to her husband William, Diane is survived by her mother, Roxane M. Struchen of Portville, siblings, Lezlee A. (Fran Patz) Spink of Butler, PA., Bradley M. (Jenni Young) Spink of Olean, Brother in law, Kim Hasard of Cuba, Sister in law, Mindy Spink of Massachusetts, several step siblings including Ron (Bonnie) Caskey, Saralynn (Joe) Keck, Don and Joan Struchen and their families, nieces and nephews Sean (Debbie) Spink, Kevin (Diana) Spink, Cari (Geno) Cummings, Amy (Brian) Bennett, Kelly (Cork) Zetwick and their families.
Diane was predeceased by her father E. Ray Spink and stepmother Bonnie Spink, step father Frank Struchen, brother and sister in law Mark E and Kathy Spink, step brother Dale Caskey, and mother in law Eloise Hasard Coyne.
Friends will be received at the United Pentecostal Church of Olean, 1100 Homer Street on Thursday May 5, 2022 from 4:00-6:00pm at which time a celebration of life will be held. Pastor Steven Beattie, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Pentecostal Church. 1100 Homer Street, Olean, NY 14760 of the American Heart Association.
