Obituary of Ruth I. Baglione

Ruth I. Baglione, formerly of 516 N. 6th Street, passed away on Tuesday. Aug. 22, 2017 in the Absolut at Allegany Nursing Home.
Ruth was born on April 18, 1931 in Sayre, PA and was a daughter of Alfred and Mary Kostecki Cole. On Feb. 23, 1952 at St. Mary's Church, she married her husband of 58 years, John J. Baglione, Sr., who predeceased her on Jan. 30, 2010.
Ruth was a 1949 graduate of Olean High School. She worked at Both, Branch, & Hendrix Insurance Company for about 20 years, retiring in 1982. Ruth and her husband moved to Orlando, FL, where she worked at a convenience store and enjoyed entertaining guests and family members, returning to Olean in 1993. She was a member of the St. John's Roman Catholic Church. Ruth enjoyed playing bingo, dancing to Polka and listening to the old bands.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, Darlene M. (Terry) Biehler of Olean; two grandchildren, Chris (Fran Rose) Biehler and Tara (Shawn Withey) Kenyon; four great grandchildren, Brooke, Nicholas, & Madison Kenyon, and Dane Withey; two siblings, Doris V. Mohr of Orlando, FL and Donald L. Cole of Olean; and several nieces & nephews.
Along with her loving husband, Ruth was predeceased by two siblings, Marjorie J. Williams on April 10, 2014 and Rodney L. Cole on Feb. 14, 2004.
Friends will be received at the St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 1102 Walnut St., Olean, on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held. The Rev. David E. Tourville, Associate Pastor of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, will celebrate in the absence of Rev. F. Patrick Melfi. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
