Bradford- Marguerite L. “Reedy” Srock
Marguerite L Srock of the Pavilion in Bradford passed away on April 19, 2022 at Olean General Hospital after a long illness.
Born on November 15, 1948 in Bradford, PA, she was the daughter of Stewart A Rogerson and Margaret McHenry Pessia. On May 30, 1970, she married Clifford R Srock who predeceased her on July 30, 1974.
“Reedy” as she was affectionately called, was a 1966 graduate of Bradford Area High School and later from Continental School of Beauty. She owned and operated Reedy’s Beauty Salon for many years out of her home in Bradford. Reedy moved to southern Florida in the mid 90’s and returned to Bradford shortly after the death of her mother who she had been living with and caring for in Florida.
Reedy was an avid golfer winning many tournaments in the Bradford area and proudly has her name on many plaques for her golfing achievements in clubhouses around the Twin Tiers region.
She is survived by a son, Scott (Heidi) Srock of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by a daughter who she had selflessly given up at birth and who found her in 2016 and became best of friends with; Marian Joseph (Charles) Schrantz of Cross Junction, VA. Reedy is also survived by a brother Tony (Debbie) Pessia of Bradford, and a sister-in-law Sandy Youkes of Oil City, PA, four grandchildren: Oliver and Myles Srock of Pittsburgh, PA, Jordan (Lindsey) Carter and Jared (Mimi) Carter all of Olean, 3 great-grandchildren Lucian Hale, Julianna Carter, and TJ Corke and several cousins.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson Charlie, a sister-in-law Bonnie (Richard) Rink, and a brother-in-law Tim Srock

Reedy was a long time “Partner in Hope” and wanted any memorials to go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
