Grace L. Ash, of 629 Prospect Ave., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at the Pines Health and Rehab, following a lengthy illness. Grace was born March 14, 1928 in Tabernacle and was a daughter of Lidle and Mildred Peterson Lippincott. On July 4, 1956 at St. Joseph's Church in Olean, she married her husband of 60 years, Robert L. Ash, who survives. Grace worked for a number of years as a telephone operator for NY Telephone. She was an active volunteer for the St. Francis Hospital Guild for several years. Grace enjoyed gardening, working outside around her house, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Along with her loving husband, Grace is survived by two children, Mrs. Elizabeth A. (Bradley) Mitchell, and Robert D. (Caroline) Ash; and four grandchildren, Katherine A. (Brent) Eifert, Matthew B. Mitchell, Nathan Ash and Julie C. Ash all of Olean. Grace was predeceased by an infant daughter, Karen Ash in 1958. Visitation will be Private. A Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Joseph's Church on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Anthony J. Salim, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Arrangements under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made by clicking the button above.
