Ellicottville- Stacie Lee McCarthy Halgas “Beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister & Aunt” Stacie Lee McCarthy Halgas formerly of Olean passed away on February 10th, 2022 at her home following a brief illness. Stacie was born in Olean on October 13, 1971, and was the daughter to late Mathew McCarthy and Deanna Dimitri McCarthy. Stacie graduated from Olean High and attended BOCES nursing program. She enjoyed being around children and would babysit as often as she could. She started working at the Rehab Center while she was still in high school where she enjoyed working with all the clients. Stacie was a member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. She loved family beach vacations and gatherings. Most of all she loved her children and always went to their school and sporting events. Stacie is survived by her son, Hunter Halgas, daughter Oriana Dewe, her mother, Deanna McCarthy, sister, Denise (Archie) Deming, brother, Corey McCarthy, nephews and nieces: Derek, Meghan, Randall, Logan. Mason, Bre, Jeffrey, Arayiah, and special niece Rani, aunt and uncles: Betty and Bill Petit, Bob, Chuck, Steve, and Brian. Services were privately held at Mt. View Cemetery where she was buried the Rev. Soterios Rousakis Pastor of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Jamestown officiated. Arrangements are under the direction of Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
