Olean – Earl F. Ackley “Local Taxi Cab Driver” Earl F. Ackley of 339 ½ North 7th Street passed away Monday Nov. 1, 2021, at his home where he went to his celestial reward after a brief illness. Earl was born on September 29, 1967, in Inman, Kansas. He was the son of Earl Dueck and Pauline Marie Ackley. Earl was a 1986, graduate from Inman High School in Inman Kansas. H ewas primarily raised in Kansas but moved to Olean following his mother’s death. Earl worked as a taxi driver for many years, he was employed with Alley Cat and T+M Transport in Olean where he made many friends with his coworkers and passengers who survive as well as his cousin, Valerie Ackley of Allegany. Earl loved dogs, cats, and country living. He always wanted to have his own place in the country. Earl also loved classic vehicles. Earl is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Earl was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, Donald (Mike) Ackley, John and Bruce Stowell, and his maternal grandparents. A graveside service will be held at the Allegany Cemetery on Thursday June 2, 2022, at 1:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
