Olean- Ernest C. Calhoun “Loving Father, Grandfather, & Brother” Ernest C. Calhoun of 350 Front Street passed away on Monday, January 17th, 2022, at Olean General Hospital following a brief illness. Ernest was born on December 13, 1943, in Mozer, West Virginia and was the son of Ernest R. and Eugenia Learn Calhoun. He married Rose Mary Harmon who predeceased him on March 1st, 2015. Ernest worked at the Olean Tile Plant for several years before going to work at Loretta Foods. Ernest was a huge Buffalo Bills and Elvis Presley fan. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Ernest will be remembered as a very loving and caring man who would help anyone. Ernest is survived by his children; Ricky J. Calhoun of Salamanca, Kim Ann Calhoun of Portville, two God children; Patricia A. (James) Button, and Donna M. Beaudry both of Olean, four grandchildren; Samuel, Danuel, Kylee, and Jadance, and two siblings; Larry (Marlene) Calhoun of Wadena, Minnesota, and Bonnie (Paul) Gonska of Yorktown. Ernest was pre-deceased by his parents, one grandson, Dylan Everly on August 31st, 2012, and two brothers, David, and Richard Calhoun. Friends will be received at Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean from 4:00-5:30 on Friday, January 21st, 2022, at which time Rev. Tyrone Hall will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the local Veterans Service Agency at 1 Leo Moss Drive Olean, NY 14760 with attention to Steve McCord and checks made payable to the Veterans Van Service.
