Obituary of Joshua N VanSickle

Olean- Joshua N. “Pudge” VanSickle “Loving Father, Son & Brother” Joshua N. “Pudge” VanSickle of 9871 Prosser Road passed away on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022, at Olean General Hospital following a brief illness. Josh was born on September 6th, 1980, in Olean and was the son of Jason D. and Rhonda L. McDivitt VanSickle. Josh was a 1998 graduate of Portville Central School and continued his education at Alfred State where he graduated in 2000 with a degree in Diesel Mechanics. He worked at a couple of places including Fox’s Pizza and North Pro Hardware. In 2009 he began working at Fibercel in Portville where he was still currently employed for the past 13 years and was most recently a supervisor. Josh enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping, cooking, playing his guitar, and music. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his daughter and his family. Josh is survived by his mother, Rhonda L. (Thomas) Miller of Portville, his father, Jason D. (Phyllis) VanSickle of Portville, his daughter, Kaylee J. VanSickle of Olean, two siblings, JD (Trina) VanSickle of Portville and Jennifer L. (Aaron) Witruke of Olean, two stepsisters, Whitney D. (Nick) Phearsdorf of Cuba, and Nikki L. (Dave) Charsley of Shinglehouse, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday. January 20th, 2022, at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean from 4:00-6:00pm where a Memorial Service officiated by Rev. Alan L. Yates will follow. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
