Obituary of William D Cousins,Sr.

Olean – William D. Cousins, Sr. “Loving Husband, Father, & Grandfather” William D. Cousins, Sr. of 3405 Route 16 North passed away on Wednesday December 8th, 2021. William was born on August 31st, 1936, in Holyoke, Massachusetts and was the son of Gordon D. and Mildred Elizabeth Hammond Cousins. On June 29th, 1957, he married his loving wife Fredia A. Crawford Cousins. William was a former United States Marine and served in the Army Reserves for 27 years. He was employed by Dresser Rand Olean for 42 years where he retired from in 1988. He also served as a Justice of Peace in Hinsdale for a period of time. He was also a member of the Hinsdale Legion William loved the Lord our God and served him throughout his life. He loved to golf, go bowling, and camping with his children. He spent many summers at Rushford Lake. Surviving his wife of 64 years are his four beloved children, William D. (Gina) Cousins Jr., Jeff A. (Beth) Cousins, Gary P. (Dawn) Cousins, and Lisa A. (Jason Smith) Tronetti, ten grandchildren, Alisha, Laura, Kristina, Christopher, Chenoa, Ryanne, Robert, Dominic, Derek, and Elizabeth, a sister, Carole Babbitt, and four great grandchildren. William was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Robert Cousins. Friends will be received at Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, 646 E State Street Olean on Sunday December 12, 2021, from 2-4pm at which time Mr. Monroe Bishop will officiate at which time funeral services will be held.
