Friendship – Gary Alan Greene
Gary Alan Greene, 58, of Friendship, passed away on November 25, 2021 at the Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse following an illness.
Gary was born September 10, 1963 in Cuba and was the son of Harold Neil and Bernice Marie Hale Greene. On May 26, 2021 he married his loving companion of 12 years Amber L. Blouvet who survives.
Gary attended Friendship Central and Richburg Central School. He worked at several jobs throughout his life including over the road truck driving, a auto mechanic, and part- time farmer. While living in Arizona Gary owned and operator of Half Dozen Express. He moved back to New York in 2008. Gary was a well known and loved member of the community and the Snow Drifters.
Gary was a patriot who loved anything with eagles and American flags. He enjoyed singing, joking, making people laugh, all things John Deere, and being a true Dodge fan he hated Fords. Gary's favorite activities included snowmobiling and mechanical tinkering. He truly loved his wife and family but most of all he loved being a Papa.
Along with his wife, Amber, Gary is survived by; 6 children, Christopher A. (Lori) Greene, Megan E. (April & Joshua) Waterman both of FL, Abigail N.(Kyle) Minner of TX, Hannah V. Greene of FL, Lydia G. (Shane) Richardson of TX, and Ashley M. Greene of Friendship, 3 step daughters, Andrea Hint, Karlie Hint and Huntar Hint, 8 grandchildren, Rafe, Aurora, Ilyza, Gracie, Elison, Mia, Sophia and Damien, 7 siblings, Carol (Ed) Weichman of SC, Ronald (Vicki) Greene of AZ, Keith (Kim) Greene of TX, Donna (Donald) Frungillo, Carl (Michelle) Greene of NY, Dennis (Rhoda) Greene of OR, Kevin (Becky) Greene of NY, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Harold N. Greene in 1985 and Bernice Marie Greene in 2009.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy. Cuba, NY on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at which time a funeral service will be held.
