Obituary of Rose Theresa Browning

Olean – Rose Theresa Browning "Loving Mother & Nana" Rose T. Browning of 2936 Route 16 North, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021 in the Absolut of Houghton Nursing Home, following an illness. Rose was born on Sept. 2, 1933 in Allegany and was a daughter of Raymond "Red" & Hazel Theresa Bean Hotchkiss. She was formerly married to Jack Daniel Storey. She married Henry H. Browning who pre-deceased her May 14, 1985. Rose was a 1951 graduate of Wellsville High School. After getting married she worked at the Modern Diner in Wellsville for a period of time before moving to Florida. After returning to the Olean in 1965 her husband started "Henry H. Browning Leasing Company, a trucking company, which she became the book Keeper and the owner upon his death. Rose is survived by 3 children Dale Story, Gale (Rex) Marvin and Janet (Ken) Sanderson all of Olean. Seven grandchildren Matthew Henry Marvin, Jonathan Rex Marvin, Melody Rose (Paul) LeBlanc, David J. (Tonya) Sanderson, Kelli K. (Erik) Sanchez and Steven K. Sanderson, 12 great grandchildren Jayden, Elliott, MaKenlie, Parker, Shawnna, Dawson, Alex, Ava, Jake, Layla, Amiya and Colson. A great great grandson Knox and siblings Edna Ross and Edwin Dutton and several nieces & nephews. Rose was pre-deceased by her parents, a granddaughter Julie Ann Sanderson and siblings Charles Dutton, Richard Atterman, Bob Hotchkiss and Jean Starks Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Friday Nov. 19, 2021 from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. David W. Herne, Pastor of Heritage AFlame Ministries in Bolivar will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department 3832 Main Street, Hinsdale, NY 14743 or to the Alzheimer's Association.
