Olean – Michael T. Smith “Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather”
Michael T. Smith of 729 Front Street, passed away on Wednesday Oct. 20, 2021 in the Olean General Hospital following an illness.
Mike was born in Erie PA on August 23, 1953 and was the son of Gerald & Elva Smith.
On September 9, 1988 he married his loving wife of 33 years, Pattie J. Peterson, who survives.
Mike was a self-employed painter and contractor in the Olean area all his life, Retiring in 2019. He loved his dogs and will be remembered as a kindhearted man “Good to everyone”.
Mike is survived his loving wife and two children Michael T. Smith, Jr. and Yevonne Smith. Two grandchildren Anna & Gabe Forest, three siblings Kathy Fuller, Sheena (Dave) Baker and Gary (Elaine) Wade, two sisters in-law Cheryl Peterson & Karen Peterson and many nieces & nephews.
Mike was pre-deceased by his Parents and two sisters Mary Ann Burnsly & Emily Enders.
Friends will be received for a memorial gathering on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
