Portville – Diane M. Beckman "Loving Mother and Grandmother" Diane M. Beckman, of 1038 Olean-Portville Road, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness. Diane was born on December 29, 1943 in Buffalo and was a daughter of Alice Sorrentino. She married William A. Smith who predeceased her in 1984. Diane also married Ted Beckman who predeceased her in 2006. Diane worked for Motorola and retired from Acurite. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Portville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Diane enjoyed gardening, working on ceramics and painting, and a good glass of wine. Her main focus in life was her children and grandchildren, whom she truly loved. Diane is survived by; 3 children, William (Vickie) Smith of Stafford, VA, Lisa (Michael) Foster of Portville, and Wayne Smith of Syracuse; 4 grandchildren, Tim Stead Jr., Alisha Smith, Brittany (Michael) Roper, and Kyle Smith; 4 siblings, Jacquie (Ron) Zakowicz, Nancy (Dan Koniuck) Bond, Joseph Nola, and David Nola. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 9:30 am at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, 202 South Union Street, Olean. Burial will be in Randolph Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
