Seaford, DE – Berta M. Salios Berta M. Salios, 95, formerly of Olean, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at her daughter's home, following a lengthy illness. Berta was born on July 24, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of Milton C. and Lottie M. West Milliner. Berta was the former wife of the Pastor, Rev. Nick Salios, of the First Baptist Church in Olean in the 1960's. She graduated from Bob Jones University in South Carolina and became a school teacher in the Parker School District in South Carolina, Krebs School in Newport, DE and in Sussex County, DE. She taught public Speaking in Olean and was a frequent speaker at various Women's Events in Western New York. Berta is survived by; 2 daughters, Sharon (Mike) Thompson of Olean and Susan Winterode of West Chester, PA; a son, Stephen Salios of Seaford, DE; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Berta was predeceased by her son-in-law, Al Winterode, and her former husband, Nick Salios. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm, at the Mount View Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Hladik, Pastor of the Olean First Baptist Church, will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to The Shepherd's Office, 408 North Bedford Street, Georgetown, Delaware 19947.
