Obituary of Virginia Blanche Brown

Olean – Virginia B. Brown “Loving Mother, Grandmother & Sister” Virginia B. Brown formerly of 316 Main Street, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Olean General Hospital following an illness. Virginia was born September 15, 1926 in Gaines, PA and was a daughter of Henry L. and Hattie French Page. She married Milton J. Brown who predeceased her on January 21, 2004. Virginia worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for a period of time. She also worked as a waitress at “Neal’s Dinner” on Union Street and as a housekeeper at St. Bonaventure University. Virginia was a member of the Olean Senior League. Virginia enjoyed and was an avid walker and reader. She also enjoyed camping and being outdoors but she especially loved taking rides to Allegany State Park. Virginia is survived by 4 children, Robert J. (Kathy Grandusky) Anastasia of Olean, Anthony J. (Donna) Anastasia of Allegany, Gail A. Goodridge of Erie, PA, and Kevin M. Brown of Bath; 9 grandchildren, Charles, Nicholas, Tony, Sheila, Kim, Bob, Bill, Frank and Michelle; many great and great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Donald (Yvonne) Page of Washington and 1 sister, Olive Clark of California. Along with her loving husband, Virginia was predeceased by her parents, a son Frank Anastasia, a brother John Page and a sister Anna Twist Friends will be received at St. John’s Parish, 931 N Union St, Olean, NY 14760 on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held. The Rev. Peter Bassey will officiate. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E.
