Obituary of Lyda M. Hale

Rixford, PA – Lyda Margaret Hale "Loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother" Lyda Margaret Hale, formerly of Limestone, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness. Lyda was born on January 13, 1938 in Olean and was a daughter of Harry I. and Lillian B. Snow St. Clair. On August 23, 1964, she married the love of her life and husband of 56 years, Allen L. Hale, who predeceased her on November 4, 2020. Lyda was also predeceased by a daughter, Jean Williams on Oct. 31, 2020. She was a 1958 graduate of Allegany High School. Lyda is survived by; her loving daughters, Jacqueline (Michael) Stoddard, who she lived with, Joanne (Danny) Rugg of Mt. Jewett, PA, Joyce (George) Bearden of Atlanta, GA, and Gerry (Steve) Howard of Hinsdale; 5 granddaughters, Tamaro Howard, Tori Taylor, Cassie Dash, Joyce Rugg, and Kira Williams; 5 grandsons, Ethan Weeks, Christopher Wolfe, Joshua Howard, Cody Williams, and Cody Stoddard; 21 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (David) Geuder; and 4 grandpups, Sophie, Sissy, Joey, & Fatty. Along with her loving husband, Allen, Lyda was predeceased by, 7 siblings, Sarah Keller, Beulah Levis, Mildred Grimes, Harry St. Clair, Helen St. Clair, Henry St. Clair, and Laura Oshenic At the family's request, there will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 14, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Otto Township Fire Hall, 118 R L Sweitzer Drive, Duke Center, PA 16729, for all who would like to attend.
