Obituary of Dennis Kirk Peasley

Olean – Dennis Kirk "Grizz" Peasley "Loving Companion, Father, and Grandfather" Dennis Kirk "Grizz" Peasley, 65, of 301 North 1st Street, Apartment 1, passed away on July 3, 2021, at the Olean General Hospital following a short illness. Dennis was born on February 18, 1956 in Olean and was a son of Todd H. and Carol Gates Peasley. He was formerly married to the one and only Love of His Life, Diana L. Franklyn Peasley, who survives. Dennis was a laborer & a school bus driver for Allegany-Limestone schools. He also was a volunteer EMT for the town of Olean and town of Knapp Creek volunteer fire departments. Dennis was a member of the Christopher Columbus Club of Olean. He liked to hunt, but he loved to play Santa Claus at Christmastime. He was fondly known as "Grizz" after he went hunting and shot a bear that was chasing him. Grizz was a good man and he was loved & will be missed by many. Along with the Love of his Life, Diana, Dennis is survived by; 2 daughters, Brooklynn Peasley and Justine Miller both of the Olean area; a granddaughter, Abby; a grandson; 2 sisters, Sherry (Jeff) Bennett of Albany & Florida and Lori Crawford of Hershey, PA; 2 nieces Kara and Morgan; and a nephew Jason. Dennis was predeceased by his parents and a sister Karen Robins. Friends will be received for a Memorial Gathering on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 East State Street, Olean.
