Obituary of Carol A. Hryb

Olean – Carol A. Hryb "No Caption" Carol A. Hryb, formerly of the Olean House, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, following a lengthy illness. Carol was born on May 3, 1943 in Olean and was a daughter of George Edward and Emily Acocks Packer. Carol was a 1961 graduate of Olean High School. She worked for the Olean Tile Company for a few years. Carol later continued working as a Home Health Care Aid in homes. Carol was a long time member of the Olean Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. Carol enjoyed doing crafts. Carol is survived by; a daughter, Michelle (Stephen Rogers) Sischo of Chapel Hill, NC; 2 grandsons, Landon Rogers of Chapel Hill, NC, Floyd Hryb of Shinglehouse, PA; a brother George L. (Kay) Packer of Olean and several Nieces and Nephews. Carol was predeceased by; her parents, a daughter Ann Hryb and a sister Patricia Rambuski. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 East State Street, Olean, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Bruce Levine, Pastor of the Olean First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Olean.
