Betty A. Trimm of 350 Front St. passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at the Olean General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Betty was born April 28, 1929 in Elmira and was a daughter of Raymond J. and Anna Campbell Eames. On Aug. 14, 1947, in Coudersport, PA, she married her husband of almost 64 years, Carl M. Trimm, Sr. who predeceased her on Feb. 2, 2011. Betty graduated from Elmira Heights High School. She was formerly a member of the St. Helen's Church in Hinsdale. Betty was a past president of the St. Helen's altar and rosary society. She was a member of the Olean Moose Chapter #148, where she held the college of Regents Degree, the highest honor of the Women of the Moose. Betty loved to read and play Bingo. She will be missed very much. Betty is survived by one son, Carl M. (Doreen) Trimm of Troutman, NC; four daughters, Julia L. (Lewis) Ludden of Olean, Victoria J. (Eddie) Tarkenton of Virginia Beach, VA, Anne M. Trimm of Erie, PA, and Diane L. Coats of Olean; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three brothers; and three sisters. Along with her loving husband, Betty was predeceased by a son, Terrence J. Trimm on April 6, 2003; a grandson, Corry A. Converse on Feb. 28, 2013; four brothers; and seven sisters. Friends will be received, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street Olean from 10 am to noon, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Barry J. Allaire will officiate. Burial will be at the Mt. View Cemetery. Online condolences may be made by clicking on the button above.
