Allegany – Lou E. LaBadie "Loving Husband, Father, & Grandfather" Lou E. LaBadie, of 4115 S. Nine Mile Rd., passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness. Lou was born on June 4, 1964 in Stanton, CA and was a son of Leo and Edith Pepe LaBadie. On November 2, 1991, in Cherry Creek, he married his wife of 29 years, Sarah Ann Cottone, who survives. Lou is a 1982 graduate of Jamestown High School. He served in the US Army National Guard from July 29, 1988 to July 28, 1996. Lou worked at Bush Industries in Jamestown for a number of years before moving to Allegany in 1997. He worked construction with his brother-in-law, Robert Herrmann, for about 15 years. During that time, Lou attended Empire State College online classes and earned an Associates Degree in Environmental Science. He then went to work for the Rehab Center/Intandem as a transporter and social worker for a few years, retiring due to illness. Lou was a member of the Creekside Community Church in Allegany. Lou enjoyed watching and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. He was a Trekkie and enjoyed watching Star Trek, WWE, MASH, and the Andy Griffith Show. Lou also enjoyed going to Bills games with his family. He loved working with the clients at Intandem. Along with his loving wife, Sarah, Lou is survived by; 3 children, Jolean M. (Sean Reitz) Cottone of Allegany, Marcus D. (Faith) LaBadie of Olean, and Shawn M. LaBadie of Allegany; 6 grandchildren, Riley, Sebastian, Angel, Vivian, Chloe, and Soloria; and 3 siblings, Diane (Phillip) Pastoriza of Georgia, David LaBadie, and James LaBadie both of Jamestown. Lou was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Michael LaBadie. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 East State Street, Olean, of Friday, May 21, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Adam D. Stein, Pastor of the Creekside Community Church, will officiate. Full military honors will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post #892 Ritual Team.
