Obituary of Laura Loraine Mosher

Olean – L. Loraine Mosher "Loving Wife, Mother, & Nana" Loraine Mosher of 2063 Hillcrest Ave, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the Cuba Memorial Hospital, following an illness. Loraine was born on October 8, 1934 in New Albion and was a daughter of Ernest L. and Veral M. Rogers Boardman. On January 3, 1953, in Salamanca, she married her husband of 68 years, the love of her life, Merlin J. Mosher, who survives. Loraine was a 1952 graduate of Cattaraugus High School. She worked at a number of places, but most of all she worked as a Layout Artist at the Olean Times Herald for over 20 years, retiring in 1980. Loraine was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church for over 55 years, where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed flower gardening and holidays, but she truly enjoyed taking care of her family and hosting family gatherings. Loraine loved staying active around the house, at the church, and at the camp. Along with her loving husband, Merlin, Loraine is survived by; 3 children, Douglas J. Mosher and Keith R. (Diane) Mosher both of Olean, and Kevin R. (Becky) Mosher of Little Valley; a son-in-law, Scott Ralston of Olean; 13 grandchildren, Crystal, Jessica, Joshua, Phillip, Jennifer, Stephanie, Nova, Rory, Jena, Zane, Adam, Joel, and Katie; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Loraine was predeceased by; her parents; a daughter, Debra J. Ralston on August 3, 2015; and 8 sisters, Eleanor Kilby, Frances Erdman, Anna-Belle Cricks, Virginia Waldren, Elizabeth "Betty" Milks, Pauline Beach, Ruth Smith, and Barbara Walters. Friends will be received at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 6 Leo Moss Drive, Olean, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Kim Rossi, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olean. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 East State Street, Olean Online condolences may be made at www.LetroMcIntoshSpinkFuneralHome.com.
