Port Jefferson, NY – Nancy Altman Guzzetta Nancy Altman Guzzetta, of 38 Jefferson Landing Circle, passed away on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Stone Brook University Hospital. Nancy was born on November 26, 1933 in Clarion, PA and was a daughter of John and LaRita Louise Heckerdon Altman. On September 9, 1955, at the First Unitarian Church in Buffalo, she married her husband of 65 years, Charles Guzzetta, who survives. Nancy was a 1951 graduate of Olean High School. She was a registered nurse, but her heart was in her Antique Costume and Prop business, which she operated in Port Jefferson for more than 40 years. Countless patrons around the United States and other countries have praised her encyclopedic knowledge, exquisite taste, and brilliant imagination. People often referred to her as their "Fairy Godmother" because of her amazing ability to transform their world with costumes that made them look and feel wonderful. She astounded everyone with her original ideas, contagious spirit, and boundless energy. She changed lives. Everyone she met was better for knowing her. Along with her loving husband, Charles, Nancy is survived by; 3 sons, Charles Guzzetta, Thomas Guzzetta, and David (Lorraine) Guzzetta; 3 grandchildren, Theodore, Chas, and Emilia; 6 siblings, Doris A. (Joseph) Martino of Las Vegas, NV, David R. (Margaret) Altman of Beverly, MA, Gerald R. (Sandi) Altman of Scottsdale, AZ, Betsy A. (Michael) Zampogna of Olean, Tootsie (John) Willman of Lake Wylie, SC, and James Douglas Altman of Reseda, CA; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, and 3 siblings, Robert L. Altman on December 1, 2013, John William "Bill" Altman in 2014 and Jeanine L. Olkosky in September of 2017. No Services are planned at this time. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 East State Street, Olean.
