Obituary of Clyde McKinley Starr

Clyde McKinley Starr, of 2936 Five Mile Road, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit following an illness.
Clyde was born Oct. 8, 1924 in Llewellyn, PA and was a son of Clyde McKinley and Mary Louise Houtz Starr. He went to boarding school at Gerard College until his graduation from high school. He served in the Navy during World War II, from March 10, 1943 until Dec. 8, 1946. He rejoined the Navy on March 16, 1948 and served again until March 15, 1953, during the Korean Conflict.
Clyde worked as an insurance agent for Cigna Life Insurance for many years. Before losing his hearing, he enjoyed listening to music and tap dancing.
He is survived by a brother, Leonard J. Goss of Denver, CO; a nephew, Zon V. Goss of Baltimore, MD; a niece, Selina (Wayne) Williams of Dallastown, PA.
At Clyde's request, there will be no Public Visitation or Memorial Services. Burial will be at Friedens Lutheran Church Cemetery, Llewellyn, PA, with his parents.
