Obituary of Betty Jane Miller

Portville – Betty J. Miller "Loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother" Betty J. Miller of 8765 Coon Hollow Road passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family. Betty was born on November 8, 1931 in Olean and was a daughter of Charles and Frances Colley Harwood. On August 3, 1952, at the First Baptist Church of Olean, she married her husband of 68 years, Stanley Miller, who survives. Betty worked for a few places including the Olean Tile Plant in the late 1970's for about 10 years, in Home Health Care in the mid 1980's, at West Shopper City as a wig woman, AVX, and she sold Avon for a period of time. She liked playing her organ and accordion. Betty also liked needlework/cross stitch and was very talented at making blankets and sweaters for her family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and collecting things. Along with her loving husband, Betty is survived by; 3 children, twin sons, Larry C. Miller of Richburg and Terry G. Miller of Portville, and Janet M. (Larry) Shrauger of Olean; several grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by, a daughter, Barbara J. Miller on August 2, 2019. Services will be private. The Rev. Al Batt, Associate Pastor at Believer's Chapel, will officiate. Burial will be at the Hinsdale Cemetery in Hinsdale, NY.
