Obituary of Gloria Diane Seamon

Hinsdale – Gloria D. Seamon "Loving Companion, Mother & Grandmother" Gloria D. Seamon 81 of Hinsdale, went peacefully to be with the lord Thursday, December 31, 2020 at UPMC Hamot of Erie, PA. Gloria was born September 20, 1939 in Olean and was a daughter to the late Ernest and Virginia Leonard Johnson. On August 14, 1959 she married her loving husband of 41 years, Francis Lowell Seamon who predeceased her March 31, 1998. Prior to retirement Gloria worked for Huffy Bike Co., lots of vending craft shows, Motorola, Briar Patch in Bradford PA and finally retiring from security at the casino in Allegany in the early 2000's. Gloria enjoyed life to the fullest. Her and her husband were chaperones on every band trip that her daughters marched in for Hinsdale Central School for many years. Gloria also enjoyed going every Saturday night to the races in Olean. She also worked with many colorguards throughout her life including Hinsdale Central, Royal Rhythm steppers, Stingrays Tonawanda NY. and Incoqnito that traveled to Elvis week every year to perform. Gloria followed Elvis through his life. She also enjoyed riding the Harley with her husband they were members of the Olean Motorcycle club, enjoying her pet cats, watching what her great grandchildren were doing and attending country music concerts, and spending winters in Orlando, FL. Gloria will be sadly missed by anyone that came to know her, she had a heart of gold. Gloria is survived by; 2 daughters, Veronica (Dennis) Whitney of Hinsdale and Valerie (Kevin) Covell of Sugar Grove, PA, A granddaughter Cathy (Andy) Melice of Sugar Grove, PA, 2 great-grandchildren, Alyssa (Aaron) Marketick of Dayton, OH, and Jordan (Jass) Melice of Sugar Grove, PA, a brother, Ronald (Sharon) Johnson of Bunnell, FL and her long time companion of 20 Years Gordon Alton Rockwood of Cuba who survives. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband, and an infant sibling. Friends will be received for a memorial service on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Abundant Life Ministries 1331 Olean-Portville Rd, Weston Mills, NY 14788. At 11:00 AM the Rev.
