Karen A. Staker, of Colonial Village, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at the Olean General Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Karen was born April 28, 1954 in Buffalo and was the daughter of Robert and Nina Schriber LaPolt. She was formerly married to Kim E. Staker.
Karen worked at the MDS Lab and then at the Olean General Hospital in the Billing Department for a period of time. She then went to Trucking School and received her CDL License and drove truck for Millis Trucking. Karen loved being outdoors, gardening, hunting, camping and fishing, but she truly loved being with her family.
Karen is survived by two children, Kim E. "Dusty" Staker, II , and Jennifer (Lee) Hill both of Olean; one grandson, Nathaniel Marcus Hill; four sisters including her twin sister & best friend, Sharon L. LaPolt with whom she lived; and several nieces & nephews.
Karen was predeceased by one sister.
At Karen's request, there will be no Visitation or Funeral Service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street Olean.
