Hinsdale – Judith A. Reid "Loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother" Judith A. Reid, of 3672 Main Street, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at the Olean General Hospital, following a brief illness. Judith was born on December 17, 1942 in Olean and was a daughter of George M. and Dorothy A. Artlip Oestrich. On September 16, 1962, in Olean, she married her husband of 58 years, Theodore F. Reid, who survives. Judith was a 1960 graduate of Olean High School and upon graduation she went to Nursing School in the Hospital Degree Program. Judith also worked at Hills Department Store and Hickory Farms in the Olean Center Mall for a number of years. She was a life-time member of the Hinsdale Fire Department, where she served as Secretary for 15 years, and was a member of the New York State Fire Police. Judith attended the Olean Revival Center online. Judith enjoyed NASCAR and was a Jeff Gordon Fan, as well as a Buffalo Bills Fan. An avid reader, she also enjoyed embroidery and ceramics, but she loved traveling, especially going on cruises. Along with her loving husband, Judith is survived by; 4 children, Theodore F. Reid, III of Texas, Cherlyn E. Reid of Ocala, FL, Willie G. Reid of Buffalo, and Susannah L. (Harold Kemp) Miller of Olean; and 8 grandchildren, Kasey, Danielle, Jonathan, Phillip, Seth, Christian, Emmie, and Genesis. Judith was predeceased by a brother, Dewey Oestrich. A Public Memorial Service will be held at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 East State Street, Olean.
