Olean – Corrine Kenyon "Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Sister"
Corrine "Fats" Kenyon, of 1026 Buffalo Street, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Corrine was born on September 19, 1934 in Olean and was a daughter of John and Lula Evan Ferrio. She was formerly married to Don Martin. On December 25, 1966 in Olean she married her husband of 45 years, Thomas F. Kenyon, who predeceased her on April 6, 2012.
Corrine worked as a "Mounter" at the Olean Tile Plant starting at the age of 17 and continuing at the tile plant for 47 years, retiring in 1998. After her retirement, she worked in the cafeteria for the Olean Schools for about 10 years until 2012.
Corrine enjoyed crafts, making costumes for line dancing, and making people happy. She was selfless, always finding the best in people. Corrine always put everyone else first and was known for her sense of humor.
Corrine is survived by; 4 children, Donald P. (Jodie) Martin, Lou Ann Maull, Timmy Joe Martin, and Daniel T. Martin all of Olean; 8 grandchildren, Mindy Phillips, Donny Martin, Mitchell Martin, Janell Martin, Jarred Martin, Jamie Margeson, Kyle Margeson, and Davin Maull; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 siblings, Marlene "Tooty" (Steve) Woodgie of Hinsdale, and Susan (Dennis) Haught of Olean.
Along with her loving husband Tom, Corrine was predeceased by her parents and 6 siblings, Marilyn Harvey, Loretta Morgan, Diane Taylor, Janis Brockel, Roland Ferrio, and Nancy Ferrio.
Funeral Services will be held at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc.,646 East State Street, Olean, today, June 16, 2020, with a gathering for the immediate family and close friends only from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, at which time a service will be held. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Olean, New York. Online condolences may be made at www.LetroMcIntoshSpinkFuneralHome.com.
