Mark, it has been a long time but i fondly remember spending a lot of time at your house on Wynkoop during our Middle & High School years. Your folks were always so nice and welcoming. Very sorry for your loss. RIP Mr. Bokman.

We were so blessed to have the opportunity to meet Butch in the last few years through our mutual interest in horses. Our daughters worked on the farm riding and caring for his latest interest at auction and benefited from his keen sense for what would make a good ride with the right touch. We all learned much about the trade he knew so well through his stories telling and guidance. He had an eye and a sense for people as well as horses and was always willing to share his knowledge as a mentor to those around him. We are thankful for his friendship, his humor and his bright smile whenever you graced his doorstep. We are sorry for your loss and thankful for his influence on our lives. God bless you Butch and enjoy the ride....

I`am sadden by the passing of Butch Bokman. He was my friend all the way back to the first grade . He was a car guy, a Family guy & one of two kids growing up on "Long Bridge road" who thought they were"Cowboys." -- As it turns out, He did become that Cowboy! God Bless Arliene and the whole Bokman Clan.
Happy Trails Old Buddy,
Carl Petronio

My condolences to all Butches family. Butch was a great man. My husband and I spent a good amount of time with our buddy. I always enjoyed riding and training butches horses with him or just hanging around at his home, barn, or his favorite outing spots. He was a great old cowboy. I will miss him dearly and miss all his voicemails “hey it’s me your best friend calling you” May he Rest In Peace.

So sorry to hear about Butch’s passing . We live a few miles from his Lockport home and enjoyed seeing him out and about the Lockport neighborhood. We bought 2 really nice horses from him which have been good trail partners. Butch will be missed greatly by the horse community and by all who knew him.

Mike and I have wonderful memories of Butch and his lovely wife. We enjoyed coffee at their kitchen table with lots of talk about breeding dogs and of course horses. And he was always happy to see our daughter Emily at the local Tractor Supply. Prayers to the family. We are very sorry for your loss.

I remember Butch was my hero in the Boots and Saddle Club. He could do so many things with his horse that was amazing. He use to grab the horn of the saddle while the horse was running and he’d end up flying up into the saddle. I was so jealous.
My father always bought his Buick’s from them in Medina when I was growing up. My favorite one I remember was the Buick Wildcat. My thoughts and prayers for his family.

What a wonderful spirit this man had. I am so blessed to have met you and have the opportunity to listen to your stories and share in your knowledge. I will forever be grateful that you gave Ben his first job and for all you taught him. I truly hope there are horses wherever you are.
