New Albion – Linda J. Silsby "Loving Companion, Mother, & Grandmother"
Linda J. Silsby, of 6834 Snyder Hill Road, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness.
Linda was born on February 8, 1953 in Silver Creek and was the daughter of Harry D. and Barbara Fay Smith Woodcock. She was formerly married to Donald A. Tilburg. On August 10, 1985 in Cherry Creek, she married James Silsby, who predeceased her.
Linda enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing with her dog "Princess," collecting things, but most of all she loved raising her family and making her house a home.
Linda is survived by; her companion of many years, Willie L. Stephens; 3 children, William H. Woodcock of Cortland, Bonnie A. (Stephen) Prince and Tammy J. Waters both of Lake Wales, FL; 9 granddaughters; 3 great grandchildren; and 4 siblings, Virginia Bickhart of Fredonia, Sharon Winkelman of Silver Creek, Roger Woodcock of Fredonia, and Gloria Cardin of Crocker, MO.
Along with her husband, James, Linda was predeceased by, her parents and 2 siblings, Dean Woodcock and Suzanne Carte.
