Patricia D. Salvan of 715 North Union Street passed away at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Friday, February 28, 2014.
Patricia was born on December 26, 1919 in Olean, NY , the daughter of Harold and Leah "Baker" Littlejohns. On October 4, 1941 in the St. Johns Rectory she married John J. Salvan her loving husband of 59 years who predeceased her on August 9, 2011. She was a graduate of Olean High School Class of 1939. Patricia was a lifetime member of the Hillside Wesleyan Church, were she was a very active member. She served as church secretary and was the organist there for 45 years. Patricia was a awesome mom and a wonderful homemaker with her love of baking, reading and cross stitching. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also worked at Montgomery Wards in the 1970's.
Surviving Patricia are two daughters, Gail Matthews of Weston Mills, and Lindsay (Paul) Cummings of Olean; two grandchildren Leslie (Jeffrey) Szymanski, and Scott (Nancy) Matthews both of Weston Mills; three great grandchildren, Hannah Matthews, and Lydia & Simon Szymanski; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her loving Husband she was predeceased by a infant son, John Anthony Salvan; one brother, Robert Littlejohns; and one sister Nancy George.

Friends will be received on Tuesday evening, March 4, 2014 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM, in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 East State Street, Olean, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Funeral Home. The Reverend Richard Long, pastor of Hillside Wesleyan Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean, NY.
