I've knew John all my life and am truly sorry for his passing, May God Bless his soul and may he enjoy eternal life and happiness in God's kingdom forever and ever. I regret that I was (because of health problems) unable to attend the services for John.

Not many people are lucky enough to be residents of Madeira Beach and Olean, but we were. The last time I saw John we shared stories and laughter. The Sturdevant table was the round one overlooking the hearth where John Jerry and John Jr cooked. I remember the fun we had at the bar back in the day and the wonderful woman Betty was.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Sawaya family & dear ones.
My favorite memory was about a dozen years ago when John had surgery and was in the hospital in Florida. As a CMP, a certified music practitioner, I was called to play therapeutic music bedside for John as Marilyn witnessed the spiritual experience. It was a memory we will never forget. What a blessing ! Rest in Peace John.
Warmly,
Mary K. Sturdevant

It was an honor and pleasure knowing John. My father Ralph would come to Tampa with him and the gang. I was lucky enough to golf with them a few times. One year we even watched the Superbowl with them at his home here in Tampa and experience good times amongst good friends. Rest in peace my friend
God bless your family and friends at this time of grieving.
