There is a part of me that will never be whole again. Ricky was more than a friend he was my best friend, blood brother and to me family. We met when we were teenagers and have been through thick and thin together. Ricky was the best man at my wedding and there for me when things fell apart. Ricky taught me to play guitar. You couldn't ask for a better or truer friend. After I moved away, whenever I would hear "Wish you were here", I always thought of Rick.
Ricky always made me feel at home. There was never an awkwardness between us. We could talk about anything and often did. We could not see each other for a year but when we were together it was if we were never apart.
The last time we saw each other as we hugged goodbye he said "Best friends forever!" and I said "Forever brother." My heart is heavy and I miss him so very much.
