Obituary of Rene A. Arroyo

Olean – Rene A. Arroyo     "US Army Veteran"

            Rene A. Arroyo of 401 Alder Street, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Olean Hospital, following an illness.

            Rene was born on September 16, 1957 in Puerto Rico and was the son of Rene A. and Luz M. Daniels Arroyo.

            Rene moved to the United States and lived in the South Bronx.  He enlisted in the US Army on March 9, 1976 until 1992.  While he was in the service and living in Germany, Rene was well known and famous for being a DJ and a Salsa Dance Instructor.  After his service, Rene received his Accounting Degree.  He worked in a law firm for a number of years, before becoming disabled.  Rene loved to play pool and watch wrestling, but he truly loved his family.

            Rene is survived by his parents and a loving companion and closest friend, Enid Lopez.

            Rene was predeceased by; a son, Rene A. Arroyo; a sister, Margareta Pizarro; and a brother-in-law.

            Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc.,646 East State Street, Olean, on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00pm, at which time a Memorial Service will be held.  The Rev.
