Obituary of Otis Lamont Parks

Otis Lamont Parks, of 659 Seneca St, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014. Lamont was born Nov. 10, 1959 in Buffalo and was the son of Otis Goodwin and Donna Parks Clemons. Lamont was a 1977 graduate of Cinnaminson High School in Cinnaminson, NJ. He went to work at RCA Electronics in NJ for about 15 years before moving to Olean in 1992. Here in Olean he worked in construction until about 2 years ago. He was a member of the Epic Church. Lamont enjoyed socializing with friends, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews and extended family. Lamont is survived by hismother and step father, Donna L. (Orman Wendell) Clemons of Olean; his father, Otis Goodwin of Buffalo; his uncle, Daddy Walt (Barbara) Peterson, with whom he lived ; three children, Brandon Clemons of Philadelphia, PA, Brittani Clemons of Burlington, NJ, and Ezra (Shawna) Johnson of Olean; five grandchildren; one sister, The Rev. Paris D. (The Rev. Chuck C.) Maine of Olean; one brother, Orman W. "Topper" (Stacie) Clemons of Olean; and his extended family. Lamont was predeceased by his stepfather, Orman W. Clemons. Friends will be received on Saturday, August 16, 2014 in the Epic Church 411 West Henley Street from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Paris and the Rev. Chuck Maine, Co-Pastors of Epic Church and the Rev. Stanley Parks will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Epic Church, 411 West Henley Street, Olean, New York 14760.
