Olean - Linda A. Richardson "Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister"
Linda A. Richardson, of 1749 Gargoyle Road, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at her home, following a brief illness.
Linda was born Nov. 8, 1941 in Franklin, PA and was a daughter of Floyd H and Dama E. Hart Jones. In 1964 she married her husband of 34 years, Robert A. Richardson, who predeceased her on June 25, 1998.
Linda was a 1959 graduate of Allegany High School, and later continued her education at St. Francis School of Nursing receiving her associates degree. While she was in Hagerstown, MD she worked at the hospital delivering babies as well as at Olean General Hospital. Linda worked for Cattaraugus County Department of Health as a Licensed Practical Nurse, until her retirement in 1997 after 30 years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Linda was an active member at the Eagles Club of Olean.
Linda enjoyed going to the Eagles Club, going on family vacations, and playing Euchre. She was an avid New York Yankees fan. Linda loved her cats, but she truly loved spending time with her family, which was most important to her.
Linda is survived by; a son, Robert "Rob" (Lori) Richardson of Hinsdale; 4 grandchildren, Robert, Steven, Joshua, and Julie; a great granddaughter, Trinity; 3 siblings, Shirley M. "Serreta Joan" Jones of The Villages, FL, Phyllis J. Doban of North Huntington, PA, and Gary L. Jones of The Villages, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev.
