Helen K. Nuss of 301 West Henley St., Brookside Community, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Olean General Hospital following a short illness. Helen was born Jan. 30, 1931 in Watsontown, PA and was a daughter of Fred and Mary McIntyre Koch. On May 5, 1951 in Watsontown, PA she married her husband of 60 years, Leamon "Dutch" Nuss, who predeceased her on Jan. 4, 2011. Helen graduated from Watsontown High School in 1948 celebrating her 65th high school reunion last year. Helen is survived by three children, Mary E. (Frank) Stephan of Allegany, Kathryn A. (Joe Cummins) Nuss of Olean, and Thomas F. (Margaret) Nuss of Allegany; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Marty) Reynolds, Justine (Aaron) Stephan-Cole, Jody Stephan, and John Llewellyn; four great grandchildren, Mallory, Natalie, Garrett, & Noah; and a niece, Jami Culp of Olean. Along with her loving husband, Helen was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Robinson in 2006. At Helen's request there will be no Public Visitation or Funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, #646 E. State St., Olean. Burial will be at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences can be made by clicking on the button above.
