Franklinville - Irene Patricia Ginter
Irene Patricia Ginter, nee Macek, 83, of Franklinville NY, born 15 February 1936 in Buffalo, NY died 21 April 2019 from complications associated with Alzheimer’s.
Irene was raised in the Blackrock section of Buffalo NY and shortly after her marriage to her grade-school sweetheart Edwin “Lee” Ginter moved to West Seneca NY where they raised their four children: Richard, Robert, Kim, and Dawn. Irene earned an Associate Degree in Food Sciences from Buffalo Community College. She worked several years in the food industry as a food tester/inspector before becoming the best Mom ever. Irene was an extremely devoted Wife and Mother. She gave her entire life to her Family, showed all the true meaning of love and Family, and ensured no one was left in the shadows. Our Mom did it all…..Our Mom is the best Mom ever!!!
In 1994, Irene and Lee moved to a 40 acre plot in Franklinville, NY where they built a homestead and lived what they called “the country life”. Irene enjoyed being outdoors tending to her plants and her beloved humming birds. She loved hosting Family get-togethers where smiles and laughs made for good times and countless memories were created. Irene was an avid Scrabble player and also enjoyed playing cards at the many card clubs in Franklinville, NY with her Friends.
Irene was 100% Family…she was a loving/caring Wife, Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Aunt, who made everything in life possible for all of us!!!
Surviving are her sons: Richard (Elaine) Ginter, Robert (Addy) Ginter; daughters: Kim (Bill) Crooks, Dawn (Dean) Szymkowiak; Sister: Marian (Roger) Smith; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, Niece Lisa.
