Hi Matthew's Relatives who are my Relatives.
I am sorry to hear that Matthew died recently. My condolences. I remember spending the Summer of 1966 with Donna, Cathy, Chuck, Jeff and Matt, Uncle Buddie, Aunt Loretta and my Mom (Victoria) (Aunt Sissiy) 53 years ago. It doesn't seem that long ago. How can that many years have passed. We all had a lot of fun that summer and I got into a lot of trouble with my mother. I remember wading in a stream. Aunt Loretta and all the kids including Matt who was only about 2 at the time all went wading in a 6" stream. I knew my mother would not have wanted me in that stream but I reasoned at 8 years old Aunt Loretta said it was ok and why shouldn't I go in if a 2 year old can go in. My mother, Aunt Sissy, did not see my reasoning - especially since I cut my foot on a piece of glass. I remember reading Winnie the Pooh since I couldn't go anywhere our house above the restaurant for awhile. I had a lot of fun and fond memories as if it were yesterday of everyone that summer.
I also remember going out a window and running on a hot metal roof. This was before the wading in the stream fun for awhile. I had tons of fun with you even if I did get into trouble with my mother. I learned lots of things I never would have if I had not stayed the summer with your family that summer.
My Mom Aunt Sissy was Matthew's God Mother.
I remember all of you except for Uncle Buddie coming to my mom's funeral and most of the boys being pall bearers including Matthew. I remember going to Aunt Loretta's birthday party and seeing the whole family. I remember one of the boy's wives being very pregnant at my Mom's Funeral in 1996.
