Olean - Robert L. Vaughn, Sr. "Loving Father & Grandfather"
Robert L. Vaughn, Sr., of 127 South 13th Street, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019, at his home.
Robert was born on February 12, 1948 in Olean and was a son of Robert L. and Ethel Handley Vaughn. He was formerly married to Kathrine Gurtrude.
Robert was a 1966 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School. He worked for a number of businesses including Universal Oil Fields and Drilling and Potter Lumber, as well as driving taxi for Alle-Catt, and bus for Bluebird. Robert enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, car and train models, but he truly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Robert is survived by; his long-time girlfriend, Sandra Fitch; 6 children, Robert L. Vaughn, Jr. of Olean, Timothy S. Vaughn of Hinsdale, Jeffrey M. Vaughn of Salamanca, Daniel (Jill Bennett) Vaughn of Eldred, PA, Alicia M. (Vontey Johnson) Vaughn of Olean, and Scott D. Vaughn of Hinsdale; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin Vaughn.
Robert was predeceased by an infant son, Christopher D. Vaughn in 1982.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean, on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at which time a Memorial Service will be held.
